This is a world where anything can happen. It's set in what's basically modern times, but there are beings from demons to werewolves and everything in between. The humans are top of the heap, and many times anything not human looses rights, is treated as less, the other, something to be feared and avoided. There is also slavery running rampant. It's not legal, of course, but it still happens and little is being done about it, as long as the slavers keep to beings that are not human, and preferably beings that don't have much money.
